214th Infantry, State Color. Composed of men from Philadelphia, Lancaster, Schuylkill, Monroe, Northampton, and Lebanon counties, the 214th was raised under the auspices of the Union League of Philadelphia and was organized in March 1865. Colonel David B. McKibbin recalled that his command did not obtain the state color until late in its term of service. The regiment was mustered out of service on March 21, 1866.
